Mumbai, Transgender actress Bonita Rajpurohit, who will be making her debut in Dibka Banerjee's "Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2", says she is proud to be one of the lead roles in the upcoming film, and hopes that people like her Young women will feel as if they are being watched.

The film, a sequel to Banerjee's 2010 film "Love Sex Aur Dhokha", will release on April 19.

In the follow-up, which will explore youth in the digital age, Rajpurohi will play the role of Kullu.

From being almost invisible on screen to making Bollywood films, the trans community has progressed a lot. According to the producers, Rajpurohit is the first transgender woman to lead a Hindi film.“(It) is quite an important moment for me because I never thought I would be in such a situation. This makes me feel really proud. The trans community as a whole has really come a long way.

“There was a time when trans people were not as visible in mainstream media. But now, I am seeing some changes and I feel honored when I am a part of that change.I hope it will set an example for many girls like me, who are young and live in rural areas, and they feel happy,” Rajpurohit said in an interview here.

She said she wanted to bring "real change" to areas where the internet has not yet reached.

“How much influence do you have in places where the internet isn't even acceptable... To me, that's real activism or that's real change that I want to see. This is my form of activism, being on screen or being seen among people,” he added.

Rajpurohit, who previously worked in a production house and as a model, said working with Banerjee, the acclaimed director of the National Award-winning film "Khosla Ka Ghosla" as well as "Shanghai" and "Oye Lucky" It is a matter of respect.Lucky Oye!".

“I feel happy, honored and privileged to work with Dibakar sir in my first film. Initially I was nervous. There were confusion, doubts and many insecurities in my mind.

“I felt a lot of pressure because it is an important role that plays a huge role in the story. I never felt that kind of pressure from Dibakar Sir. He always gave me space to work on particular scenes.He said, so, it is a memorable time for me.

"Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2" also stars Paritosh Tiwari and Abhinav Singh.

Tiwari, who plays the character of Noor in the film, said that she has tried to do justice to her character.

“This part was so tricky that I couldn't joke about it. I wanted to do it truthfully and honestly.I tried to get as close (to the director's vision) as possible. I feel like I'm on the right path... working with the right people. It's an honor to work with Dibakar sir and team,” said the newcomer.

“Everything from the casting was unexpected. Actually, I went there to audition for something else and I got the role.
