Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], Honda Racing India Team's young riders put on a thrilling display of racing skills in Race 2 of the 2024 IDEMITSU Honda India Talent Cup NSF250R at the Madras International Circuit in Chennai on Sunday.

The young guns displayed immense confidence and ran with composure on the racetrack, running their best races to take glory at the championships. Sunday's Race 2 was a thrilling spectacle of action and excitement, with Chennai's Shyam Sundar showcasing his best skills on the track to emerge as the undisputed leader of the IDEMITSU Honda India Talent Cup NSF250R category. Additionally, today's race also saw accidents involving three riders.

Building on his previous racing experience and incorporating the lessons learned, Shyam competed fiercely and emerged victorious, finishing first with a total race time of 5:46.716.As the race progressed, Shyam performed thrilling maneuvers that had everyone on the edge of their seats, and overtook Mohsin P and Rakshit S Dave with precision and skill. Starting from a challenging position, he steadily climbed the ranks, strategically waiting for the right moment to change the dynamics of the race. Their strategic approach and flexibility enabled them to maintain their lead and ultimately take first place. His victory is a testament to his skill, dedication and unwavering commitment to the game.

Mohsin P, 22, from Malappuram and Rakshit S Dave, 16, from Chennai also showed excellent racing performance on the track today.Mohsin displayed exceptional speed and strategic expertise and ultimately finished second after a thrilling battle with Rakshit. With a perfect lead, Mohsin P secured the runner-up position with a race time of 5:47.106.

Rakshit S Dave was not far behind, missing out on second place by just 0.700 seconds, finishing third with an impressive race time of 5:47.806. Despite a challenging start, which saw him fall from pole position to seventh on the opening lap, Rakshit demonstrated remarkable resilience and racing skills, and steadily climbed back up the ranks to secure his podium finish.

The excellent results of all three highlight the strength of the Honda Racing India team and the promising future of Indian motorsports.Unfortunately, three riders, Rahish Khatri, Vignesh Pothu and AS James could not finish the race as they crashed in lap 3. Also, Siddhesh Sawant of Kolhapur was unable to participate in this round due to health reasons.
