The camp follows the junior men's team's European tour, where they played five matches against Belgium, Germany and Netherlands club team Bredze Hockey Vereeniging Pushp from May 20 to 29.

During the tour, India won 2–2 (4–2 SO) against Belgium in their first game, but lost 2–3 against the same opponent in the second match. They suffered a close 5–4 defeat against Bredges Hockey Vereniging. Against Germany, they lost 2–3 in the first game but won 1–1 (3–1 SO) in the return match, which was also the final game of the tour.

The upcoming camp, led by coach Janardhan CB and under the supervision of Hockey India's High Performance Director Herman Cruz, will run for 63 days, ending on August 18. The group includes five goalkeepers: Prince Deep Singh, Bikramjeet Singh, Adarsh ​​G, Ashwini Yadav, and Ali Khan.
