Hisar: The man accused in the rape of an eight-year-old minor girl has been arrested. Police gave this information on Monday.
Hisar Police on Monday said that they have arrested Pradeep, a resident of Kathara in Uttar Pradesh, from Moti Bagh in Delhi.
He said the man had raped a minor girl with the help of an accomplice in 2016 and was absconding since then.
Mahila police station in-charge Sub Inspector Seema told that he and his partner raped a 13-year-old girl. He said that a case was registered under relevant provisions of law on August 12, 2016. He was arrested from Delhi on Monday.
He said the accused was produced before a Hisar court on Monday and taken on two-day police remand for further questioning.
He told that the search for the second accused in the rape case is still going on.
