New Delhi [India], Hindu College, University of Delhi on Monday announced the launch of a training program in fragrance formulations for wellness products.

The training program is an initiative of the Government of Manipur which is organized by Hindu College in association with Ultra International Ltd and CSIR-CIMAP, Lucknow, under the esteemed mentorship of the Supreme Court Appointed Committee headed by Justice Gita Mittal.

The intensive three-week training program encompasses theoretical sessions, special lectures, practical sessions, industry visits and excursions and aims to empower 30 women from Manipur by equipping them with specialized skills in the fragrance industry, according to the press release from University.

The training programme, meticulously designed to provide comprehensive knowledge and practical skills, includes special lecture sessions on introductory aspects related to fragrances, practical skills training sessions and enriching industrial visits and excursions.

"By delving into the intricacies of fragrance formulation, participants gain theoretical knowledge and practical experience, preparing them to tap into the burgeoning personal care and wellness products market," she added.

The inaugural event featured the chief guest, Dr. Vineet Joshi, Chief Secretary, Government of Manipur.

He expressed his gratitude to Justice Gita Mittal and the committee members. He informed the audience that the Chief Minister of Manipur was immensely pleased to learn about this innovative programme.

He highlighted that this is a wonderful opportunity for the participants and assured them that once they master the complex skills in fragrance formulation, the state government will fully support their ambitious efforts.

He encouraged the enthusiastic participants to utilize their precious time to improve their skills and become brilliant torch bearers to the world.

Principal of Hindu College, Prof. Anju Srivastava, emphasized the transformative potential of this dynamic skills training: "Conducting a course on fragrances involves much more than academic learning.
