Dharamshala, Former minister and BJP leader Major Vijay Singh Mankotia on Tuesday accused the state's Congress government of discriminating against Kangar district.

Addressing a press conference here, he said that despite promises, Dharamshala has not been developed as the second capital of the state and the Central University project is also inadequate.

Attacking Chief Minister Sukwinder Singh Sukhu, Mankotia said the reins of the state have been handed over to a person who does not have the experience of running a government. He also condemned the way the government was conducting various projects and accused it of making false promises to the people.

Mankotiya accused the Sukhu government of drowning the state in debt and claimed that in just one and a half years, the Sukhu government has taken a loan of Rs 14-15 thousand crores, due to which the total debt on the state has increased to Rs 86,00 crores.

Questioning the ability of the Congress government to fulfill pre-poll promises like providing employment to 5 lakh people and giving Rs 1,500 to women, Mankotiya criticized the previous government for stopping the provision of 125 units of free electricity, while he Failed to do. Promised 300 units of free electricity.

He also said that Anand Sharma, the Congress candidate from Kangra parliamentary seat, has no connection with Kangra-Chamba.
