He said the initial capacity of the plant at Dhagwar in Kangra will be 1.50 lakh liters per day (LLPD) which can be further expanded to three LLPD. “This fully automated plant aims to produce a variety of dairy products like curd, lassi, butter, ghee, paneer, flavored milk, khoya and mozzarella cheese,” he said in a statement.

According to the statement, the project is expected to enhance the economic prosperity of farmers in Kangra, Hamirpur, Chamba and Una districts.

The CM said that this project will benefit the dairy farming community and contribute to the economy of the state. “As the project unfolds, it is set to bring prosperity to the dairy farming community and ensure that farmers get good value for their hard work,” he said.

CM Sukhu said that this initiative is in line with the government's commitment towards farmer welfare. "Once the milk processing plant starts operating, the government is also planning to start production of milk powder, ice cream and different types of cheese at this plant," he said.
