The cycle rallies were flagged off by all the district election officers or deputy commissioners in their respective districts, except Hamirpur and Kinna, and were organized in collaboration with the Cycling Association of Himachal Pradesh, a statement here said.

In Shimla, District Collector Anupam Kashyap flagged off the riders from the historic ridge and was joined by state Chief Electoral Officer Manish Garg along with other officials.

Garg said that these rallies are being organized to spread the message among the people, especially first-time voters and youth about their duty to vote.

He said that around 2000 participants are taking part in these cycle rallies.He said, "Since the Lok Sabha elections are to be held on June 1, 2024, it is the moral duty of every citizen to ensure their participation in this great festival of democracy."

Himachal Pradesh has always witnessed impressive turnout and the people of the state, especially in rural areas, show great enthusiasm and enthusiasm.
