In July last year, Apache had announced its 'Make in India' plan to manufacture high-volume servers worth about $1 billion in the first five years of production.

“We heartily appreciate the Government and the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY). Their approach in introducing the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) program has been instrumental in encouraging OEMs like us to set up manufacturing footprint in India. " Som Satsangi SV, MD, and Managing Director of Apache India, said in a statement.

In partnership with Apache, local manufacturer VVDN Technologies set up a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Manesar, Haryana in record time and is now fully operational.

“Together, we are setting up advanced manufacturing capabilities in India that reflect local expertise and our commitment to a self-reliant India,” said Puneet Agarwal, CEO, VVDN Technologies.

The company said that Apache's plan to manufacture servers in the country is in line with its broader objective of supply chain diversification and flexibility.

It is actively exploring opportunities to deepen localization and expand its portfolio of Made in India products by leveraging the backward integration capability of VVDN.
