CHENNAI: Rajasthan Royals' Shimron Hetmyer has been fined 10 per cent of his match fee for violating the IPL code of conduct during Qualifier 2 against Sunrisers Hyderabad here.

SRH won the match by 36 runs on Friday.

Although the organizers did not explain why Hetmyer was fined, it may have been due to his reaction after his dismissal. Hetmyer tried to break the stump in frustration after he was bowled by Abhishek Sharma in the 14th over of the chase.

"Rajasthan Royals' Shimron Hetmyer at Chennai M. 24 in May," the IPL said in a statement.

"Hetmyer has committed a Level 1 offense under Article 2.2 of the IPL Code of Conduct. He has admitted the offense and accepts the Match Referee's sanction for a Level 1 breach of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee's decision is final and binding. Is."

Sent in to bat, SRH scored 175 for nine on the back of Heinrich Klaasen's 5 runs from 34 balls and contributions from Travis Head (34) and Rahul Tripathi (37).

Spinners then joined the party with Shahbaz Ahmed (3/23) and Abhishek Sharma (2/24) taking five wickets apiece as RR could only manage 139 for 7 in 20 overs, with Cummins (1/30) and T Natarajan (1/13) also scalped one each.
