GUWAHATI: Police in Assam's Golaghat district seized heroin worth Rs 3 crore and arrested a drug smuggler, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Wednesday.
He told that the police found 654 grams of heroin from him.
"Based on secret input, @Golaghat police conducted an operation in Sarupathar today and nabbed a drug dealer," the chief minister posted on Twitter.
“This medicine was brought from a neighboring state and was worth Rs 3 crore,” Sarma said.
The Chief Minister also congratulated Assam Police for this recovery.
