The state is facing extreme heat, with temperatures exceeding 44 degrees Celsius at 10 places on Monday.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that the heat wave conditions will continue for the next two to three days.

In an order on Monday, Patna DM Shirshat Kapil Ashok said, "All government and private schools in the district will remain closed on June 18 and 19 for classes up to class VIII. During this period, teachers and non-teaching staff will Be present in school/office and perform your duties.”

Due to the scorching heat, some private schools in the state capital have already extended the summer vacations till June 22.
