In FY 2023-24, 170 social start-ups received funding through 41 incubators, totaling Rs 19.6 crore in the 'Parivartan Start-up Grant Programme'.

The focus areas of the 2024 grant include climate innovation, financial inclusion, agriculture and sustainable rural economy, accessible and affordable healthcare, education and livelihood enhancement, gender diversity and inclusion.

More than half of the 170 startups are from more than 60 tier 2 and 3 cities.

Grants were awarded to incubators like HTIC at IIT Madras, Awadh at II Ropar, T-Hub (Hyderabad), FITT-IIT Delhi, RISE Foundation at IISER (Kolkata), VJTI (Mumbai), Forge Forward (Coimbatore), NTIBIF. Niftam (Horoscope).

HDFC Bank said that since its launch in 2017, the initiative has supported over 400 startups selected from over 120 incubators across the country.
