New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Friday put an interim stay on the trial court's order granting bail to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in a money laundering case related to the alleged excise scam.

The high court issued notice to Kejriwal seeking his response on the ED's plea challenging the June 20 order of the lower court, under which he was granted bail.

A vacation bench of Justice Sudhir Kumar Jain said, "Pending the promulgation of this order, the implementation of the impugned order will remain stayed."

The court said it is reserving the order for 2-3 days as it wants to study the entire record.

Earlier in the day, the division bench said the lower court order would not take effect until the high court hears the case.
