Hathras (Uttar Pradesh) [India], A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against Devprakash Madhukar, the so-called 'Main Sevadar', and other organizers of the prayer meeting 'Satsang' organized in Hathras district of Uttar Pradesh. A stampede broke out.

Under the FIR, a case has been registered under sections 105, 110, 126(2), 223 and 238 of the Indian Code of Justice (BNS), 2023.

According to the information given by the Relief Commissioner's office, on Wednesday the death toll in this incident increased to 121 and 28 people were injured.

According to the FIR lodged in the case, the satsang was organized by Suraj Pal, also known as Narayan Hari, Sakar Vishwa Hari Bhole Baba or simply 'Bhole Baba', at Phulrai Mughalgarhi village in Hathras district. Was near GT Road.

Chief organizer Madhukar had sought permission from the administration for around 80,000 people and the administration made traffic and security arrangements accordingly.

However, around 2.5 lakh people gathered at the 'satsang', causing heavy traffic on the road and halting vehicular movement, the FIR reads.

After the satsang was over, the people sitting on the ground were crushed to death as the uncontrollable crowd left the venue. In an attempt to forcibly stop the crowd from running through the fields filled with water and mud, members of the organizing committee used sticks, which led to pressure from the crowd increasing and women, children and men being crushed to death, as stated in the FIR. .

The FIR states that the police and administrative officials present at the spot made every possible effort and sent the injured to the hospital with the available resources but there was no cooperation from the organizers.

Meanwhile, the police have started searching for 'Bhole Baba' as he was not found at his ashram Ram Kutir Charitable Trust in Mainpuri district.

Deputy SP Sunil Kumar said, "We did not find Baba Ji inside the premises...He is not here..."
