New York [USA]: Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf stunned Canada with his pace in the ongoing Group A match at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday, crossing the 100-wicket mark in the T20I format.

In a campaign that has brought heartbreak to the Pakistan team as well as the fans, Rauf had a moment to celebrate his personal milestone.

Rauf finished the first innings with figures of 2/26 in his four-over spell, taking his total to 101 wickets in 71 matches.

Shreyas Movva became his 100th victim in the shortest format of cricket, while Ravinderpal Singh became his 101st victim.

He became the second Pakistani player to achieve the three-figure feat.All-rounder Shadab Khan was the first player to achieve this feat. He has taken 107 wickets in 103 matches for the Men in Green.

Overall, Rauf is the third fastest player to reach the 100 wicket mark. Only Afghanistan and Sri Lanka captain Rashid Khan and Wanindu Hasaranga are ahead of him.

Rashid achieved this feat in 53 matches, while Hasaranga touched the 100-wicket mark in 63 matches.Talking about the match, Babar won the toss and chose fielding, which was absolutely the right decision as per the surface.

Canada's attack was led by Aaron Johnson with 52 runs from 44 balls. Luck certainly played a role in helping Aaron throughout his innings. But he took full advantage of the opportunity and kept the scoreboard running throughout his time at the crease.

At one point, Canada could have crossed the 130-run mark, but Aaron needed support at the other end and he never got it.Pakistan, on the other hand, performed well with the ball. It was a do-or-die contest for the Babar-led side as four of their fast bowlers took wickets.
