Cluster Intervention Scheme sponsored by Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) to promote tourism in Assam provides 10-day training (total duration of 80 hours) covering entrepreneurship, promotion of home stay businesses, use of online booking platform. Covers broad topics such as using. Airbnb and MakeMyTrip, social media marketing, management of home stays, client handling, financial literacy, and government schemes for home stay businesses.

Assam State Livelihood Mission (ASLRM) supports this initiative by identifying and organizing women entrepreneurs from different districts of Assam for the training programme.Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE) is the implementing agency of the programme.

Home stay business in Assam has promising prospects due to the rich cultural heritage and natural beauty of the region. Recently, there has been a significant increase in the number of tourists, which has directly increased the demand for hotels and home stays.
