Gurugram: The vice principal of a private school was stabbed to death by her brother-in-law in her house on the school premises. Police gave this information on Sunday.
The incident occurred around 8.30 pm on Saturday night, when Navneet alias Sant (45) came to the house of 39-year-old Nidhi, located above Adarsh Public School.
He attacked the woman with a knife. Hearing the noise, Nidhi's 20-year-old son came to save her but both Navneet and the boy got injured.
Sai police said all three were taken to a private hospital where Nidhi was declared brought dead.
He told that Navneet was admitted in the de-addiction center for the last 4 months and had come home only 2 days ago.
Police said that an FIR was registered against Navneet under IPC sections 323 (causing hurt), 30 (murder) at Shivaji Nagar police station on Sunday.
Station in-charge Sandeep Kumar said, "The accused is undergoing treatment at the hospital and will be arrested after being discharged. The reason behind the murder is not known, while further investigation is underway."
