It shows two photographs of Guru holding his passport and walking on the road with his luggage. The film, which marks Guru Randhawa's debut in Punjabi cinema, also stars Esha Talwar, Raj Babbar, Seema Kaushal, Hardeep Gill and Gurshabad in lead roles.

'Shahkot' is written and directed by Rajeev Dhingra, who is known for 'Comedy Nights with Kapil' and films like 'Love Punjab' and 'Firangi'.

Talking about the film, Rajiv said, “As a director, my sole aim is to bring stories with mass and class appeal to the global audience. With Shahkot, I can say that it is not a regular love story.

The film is produced by Anirudh Mohta of Aim7Sky Studios; In association with 751 Films and Rapa Nui Ki Films. The music and background score is by Jatinder Shah.

Anirudh said, “I believe that Punjabi films are going to be the next big thing. As a producer, my aim is to bring new dimensions to filmmaking and bring forward stories that have the potential to create a sense of shared emotion with our audiences across the world.”

The film is considered to be a combination of melody, story and much-awaited performances. The film will be distributed theatrically by Seven Colors worldwide.

'Shahkot' will release on October 4.
