Peshawar: On Tuesday, unidentified gunmen shot dead a policeman deployed for the protection of a Sikh doctor in Pakistan's northwestern city of Peshawar.
The victim has been identified as constable Farhad, 45, who was on security duty for herbalist Baba Surjit Singh in Dheri Baghbanan, a suburban area of Peshawar district.
Police said that Farhad was sitting on a chair outside the shop when unknown gunmen opened fire on him, killing him on the spot.
Police have cordoned off the area and started investigation.
