Gandhinagar (Gujarat) [India], the Chief Minister's Office of Gujarat has been accredited with ISO 9001:2015, being the only CMO to have received quality certifications for 5 consecutive three-year periods from 2009 to 2023.

Notably, the Gujarat Chief Minister's office received its first ISO certificates under the then Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi in 2009 and has been receiving ISO certificates since then.

"The Chief Minister's Office of Gujarat has achieved a unique distinction as the only state in the country to receive ISO certification for five consecutive three-year terms from 2009 to 2023," according to the office of the Gujarat CMO.

"The Chief Minister's Office of Gujarat has been accredited with ISO 9001:2015 certification. The ISO 9001:2015 certification awarded to the Chief Minister's Office demonstrates its compliance with global standards of quality, timeliness and people-centric operational efficiency ", according to a press release from the Gujarat CMO's office.

As Chief Minister of Gujarat in 2009, Narendra Modi elevated the Chief Minister's Office to ISO benchmark quality, aiming to revolutionize the state's administrative culture with a focus on quality and performance.

"The Chief Minister's Office, the apex of state governance, first obtained ISO 9001:2015 certification in 2009 for its disciplined work planning and continuous improvements in public service delivery," the statement said.

Gujarat's administrative system has consistently maintained the benchmark set by Narendra Modi for good governance. The Chief Minister's Office of Gujarat has achieved a unique distinction as the only state in the country to receive ISO certification for five consecutive three-year periods from 2009 to 2023.

"Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has successfully continued the tradition of 'SWAGAT' programs and ISO audits," the statement said.

Building on this achievement, the Chief Minister's Office received ISO 9001:2015 certification for the sixth consecutive period, spanning from 2024 to 2026.

"Bhavin Vora, director of Technocrat Consultants, along with officials of certification agency Bureau Veritas, presented the ISO certification to Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel," the statement said.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel expressed his belief that ISO 9001:2015 certification will uphold the Chief Minister's Office's commitment to meeting public expectations through efficiency, capacity, effectiveness and timeliness.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel applauded the CMO team for achieving ISO 9001:2015 certification, attributing it to the Prime Minister's vision for state administration and his continued dedication to providing excellent public service.
