New Delhi: The GST Council meeting will be held under the chairmanship of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on June 22.
"The 53rd meeting of the GST Council will be held in New Delhi on June 22, 2024," the GST Council Secretariat said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The agenda of the meeting has not yet been distributed among the council members.
This will be the first meeting of the council after the Lok Sabha elections.
The election results were declared on 4 June and Sitharaman was sworn in as a cabinet minister in the new Modi government on 9 June.
The 52nd meeting of the GST Council, comprising finance ministers of all states and union territories, was held on October 7, 2023.
