Surat (Gujarat) [India] September 18: Renowned environmentalist Viral Desai, known as the "Greenman of India", has once again turned the festive occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi into a 10-day environmental awareness campaign. This year's initiative, dubbed "Tree Ganesha", has attracted thousands of students from local schools and colleges.

The primary goal of the campaign is to educate the youth about the importance of environmental protection and sustainable living. Each participating student is presented with a sapling, symbolizing their commitment to planting trees and contributing to a green future. This year's theme, "Let's Create Urban Forests", underlines the urgent need for more green spaces in urban areas.

Government agencies, including Surat Police, Gujarat Forest Department and Gujarat Pollution Control Board, have officially joined Viral Desai to support this initiative. By encouraging people to plant trees and adopt eco-friendly practices, the "Tree Ganesha" campaign is setting a positive example for others to follow.
