Indian track and field athletes have sent in their requests for financial assistance for various competitions across Europe for the coming month, where they will either attempt to break the qualification mark or collect Crucia ranking points for the Olympics.





While high hurdler Jyoti has proposed to participate in six international competitions in Europe, Shaili aims to participate in four competitions in May and June.





The MOC, under their Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS) funding, will cover their airfare, visa costs, accommodation fees, local transport costs, Medica insurance, physio fees, massage costs and OPA, among other expenses.





The MOC also approved the proposals of badminton players Kiran George, Ayush Shetty and Rakshita Sri to participate in competitions abroad.



Kiran has offered to participate in the Malaysia Masters (BWF 500), while Ayus has requested financial assistance to participate in the Thailand Open along with the Malaysia Masters.Meanwhile, Rakshita will travel to Denmark to participate in the State Denmark Challenge. Slovenia Open in Ljubljana.





TOPS will finance VIS costs among their airfare, accommodation costs, insurance coverage and other expenses.





The MOC also approved the proposals of table tennis players Manav Thakkar and Archana Kamath. The duo plan to compete in WTT Contender Rio de Janeiro Brazil and WTT Contender Mendoza, Argentina, with TOPS covering their airfare, hospitality package costs and visa fees.Apart from foreign competitions, the MOC also approved the proposal of ski shooter Anantjit Singh Naruka's plan to train in Italy with personal coach Ennio Falco before the World Cup, Baku and the World Cup, Lonato. The total training period for Ananthjeet will be 20 days. Under coach Ennio Falk, TOPS covers their coaching fees, boarding/accommodation costs, venue transportation costs and expenses for ammunition and clay targets.



During the meeting, the MOC included Indian badminton player Ashwini Ponnappa, Indian shooter Maheshwari Chauhan and rower Balraj Panwar in the TOPS core group, and promoted Ashwini's doubles partner Tanisha Crasto to the development core group for the Paris Olympics.
