The Governor demonstrated various forms of Yoga such as Asanas, Pranayam, Mudras and Meditation which provide a comprehensive approach to physical and mental well-being, thereby enhancing the overall quality of life.

CM Sawant stressed on the importance of different forms of yoga and said everyone should practice it for good health.

He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his important role in making Yoga Day international.

"Prime Minister Narendra Modi proposed the idea in the UN General Assembly, following which the UN declared June 21 as International Yoga Day, which is now celebrated in more than 180 countries," he said.

Suggesting that just half an hour of exercise every day can significantly improve fitness and health, CM Sawant said everyone should take out time for a good cause.

“Regular yoga can help manage conditions like high blood pressure and diabetes and pranayam and yoga can improve concentration,” he said.
