Panaji, Goa Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Pramod Sawant on Wednesday said the opposition's India faction will disappear once the Lok Sabha election results are declared on June 4.

He also said that some regional parties in Goa, which are constituents of the India Bloc, may also merge with the Congress after the results.

Speaking to reporters, CM Sawant predicted that Bharatiya Janata Party's North Goa candidate Shripad Naik will win the election by a margin of over one lakh votes, while its South Goa candidate Pallavi Dempo will win the seat by a margin of 50,000 to 60,000 votes. . ,

Naik and BJP Goa unit president Sadanand Shet Tanawade were also present on the occasion.

Sawant said the Congress has already accepted defeat and its leaders are privately admitting that they will be restricted to only four assembly constituencies (out of a total of 40) in the state.

Referring to the Delhi Chief Minister, he said, "The Indian alliance will end as soon as the Lok Sabha election results are declared. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will not be able to contest the next elections as its leaders and the Chief Minister are in jail." Arvind Kejriwal, who is in jail after his arrest in the Delhi Liquor Policy case.

"Some of the India Bloc partners in Goa who were more aggressive than the Congress may merge their party with the Congress," he said.

According to the Goa Chief Minister, the BJP has fought this election on the issue of development, while the Congress was trying to raise the issues of religion and caste during its campaign in the state.

Referring to the United Progressive Alliance, he said, "Congress has nothing to show, so they had to resort to caste and religion issues." They should have told the people what they had done when they had the double engine government (UPA) government which was in power between 2004 and 2014.
