Under this concept, hundreds of people in five selected constituencies out of forty are devoting one day of the week to build houses.

Tawadkar, a prominent leader of the Scheduled Tribe community in Goa, has said that it is not difficult to build 400 to 500 houses annually for the underprivileged people if there is support from the society.

“Former Union minister Suresh Prabhu has been appointed as the ambassador of the concept,” Tawadkar said.

After starting the concept in his constituency Canacona, Tavadkar also started the mission in Sanguem, Quepem, Sanvordem (South Goa) and Priol constituency (North).

About 28 houses are being constructed in these constituencies, while man houses have been completed in Canacona.

This concept of Shram Dham has gained significant attention and appreciation, with people from across the state donating and visiting these constituencies to help build houses for poor people.

Under this service-oriented concept, individuals are encouraged to contribute a minimum amount starting from Rs and dedicate a day of their life to build houses for these needy people.

Tawadkar said, "We can contribute to the society by devoting Rs 1 a day. If we get support from you (people), we can also build 400 to 500 houses annually for poor people."

Appealing to all individuals to contribute to the cause, Tawadkar said that this great contribution will allow the team of Shram Dham to build many houses for the poorest of the poor in the state, thereby ensuring access to the basic need of a house.

Tawadkar said that around 1000 volunteers have registered themselves to serve the society and they will help in completing the ongoing work of the houses.
