The passing percentage was 97.24 percent, slightly lower than last year's 97.56 percent.

Like previous years, girls outperformed boys by securing 98.11 per cent pass percentage, while boys achieved 96.47 per cent.

The first two toppers were Aditi and Alisha Sharma with 100 percent and 99.2 percent marks respectively.

Aditi scored 650 marks, while Alisha scored 645 marks out of 650. Both of them are from Teja Singh Sutantar Memorial Senior Secondary School, Ludhiana.

The third topper was Karmanpreet Kaur from Baba Bakala town of Amritsar, who scored 645 marks. He is from Amber Public School.

A total of 316 students registered their names in the merit list.

This year, 186,908 students from government schools appeared for the examination, of which 181,908 passed, taking the pass percentage to 97.32 per cent.

A total of 72,423 out of 73,896 students from private schools passed, taking the pass percentage to 98.01 per cent.

In aided schools, 20,294 appeared and 19,017 students passed with a pass percentage of 93.71 per cent. The pass percentage for urban areas is 96.60 percent, with a total of 94,270 candidates out of 97,586 passing the exam.

Similarly, the pass percentage in rural areas is 97.58 percent, as 179,07 out of 183,512 students passed the exam.

The pass percentage of class 10th in 2023 was 97.54 percent.

Girls outperformed boys by securing 98.46 percent pass percentage, while boys achieved 96.73 percent pass percentage.

Class 10 board exams were held from February 13 to March 5.
