Latur: Following the sudden death of a 15-year-old girl at a government hostel for Scheduled Caste students, her relatives on Saturday staged a protest at a police station here and demanded a second autopsy.
The police have now decided to conduct a second autopsy as per the family's demand and videograph it, said an official from the Vivekananda Chowk police station.
He said that the girl died after allegedly falling in the hostel located on Nanded Road on Friday.
He said that the post-mortem was conducted at the government hospital here in the morning, but his relatives staged a protest at the police station on Saturday afternoon demanding a fresh post-mortem.
Inspector Vaijnath Munde said, the procedure will be done at Solapur District Hospital.
He said a case of accidental death has already been registered.
