Noting China's increasingly aggressive behavior in the Indian Ocean and Pacific region, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock had said at the beginning of the meeting that its impact would not only be felt by the G7' Pacific countries - the United States, Canada and Used to be. Japan – but also in Europe.

The G7 meeting is being held in the Italian Mediterranean island of Capri.

Italy currently chairs the G7 group. The other members are the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Japan and Germany.

The meeting, which began Wednesday evening on Capri, discussed concerns about the threat of fire in the Middle East following the Iranian attack on Israel last weekend.

It is eagerly awaited to see how far G7 ministers will go in their final declaration on isolating Tehran, as Baerbock and others have demanded.

Another major topic of the G7 was the escalating Russian attacks on Ukraine's infrastructure and efforts to strengthen the warring country's air defenses.

The host of the meeting, Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, plans to comment publicly on the results after the consultations conclude.
