Jaipur, Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra on Saturday said universities should set the foundation of healthy values ​​for aspiring journalists in the age of artificial intelligence.

The governor said journalism students should be trained on the issue of fake and misleading news, a statement said, adding that a free and vibrant press is the greatest strength of democracy.

Addressing the second convocation of Haridev Joshi Journalism and Mass Communication University here, Mishra said that journalism education courses should be prepared in accordance with the new education policy, which can make the next generation of journalists sensitive, alert and better citizens.

The Governor said that the era of journalism is challenging because there is a competition to be published or broadcast first.

Mishra also inaugurated the newly constructed main building of the university. He awarded degrees to 94 students and gold medals to six students in the convocation ceremony.
