Four people died after a vehicle fell into a ditch in Uttarakhand's Pithoragarh district on Monday (April 22), the district control room Pithoragarh reported as a state disaster, an official said. A total of eight people were traveling in the vehicle who were returning home after attending a wedding ceremony. The vehicle lost control and fell into a nearly 200 meter deep gorge, the official said. The officer said that on receiving this information, an SDRF team led by ASI Sunder Singh Bora immediately left for the accident site. Local people saved 4 injured and took them to the hospital. On reaching the spot, the SDRF team coordinated with the local police and people, they worked together to remove the bodies of 4 dead persons from the valley and handed them over to the district police, the officer said.
