Mumbai: Four people were injured in a fire at a hospital in Mumbai's Kandivali West on Saturday. A civil officer gave this information.

The fire broke out at 1:50 pm at the rear of Vince Hospital, located in the 30-storey 'Kesar Ashish' building near Mahavir Nagar, and was brought under control at 2:05 pm, a fire brigade official said.

"Four people were injured in the fire, which was confined to the electrical wiring, installation and compressor of a centralized air conditioning system at the facility," he said.

Swadhin Mukhi (56) suffered 35-40 percent burns, Rajdev (35) suffered 15 percent burns, while Narendra Maurya (45) and Sunil (35) suffered superficial burns, he said.

"He has been admitted to the hospital and according to doctors, his condition is stable," the civic official said.
