Speaking at a news conference at Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue in midtown Manhattan on Friday, Trump said: "We are going to appeal this scandal," a day after he pleaded guilty at trial.

A jury in New York City on Thursday found Trump guilty on all 34 counts of falsifying business records to hide a $130,000 hush-money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels in 2016, Xinhua news agency reported.

Trump continued to attack the judge and insisted that the trial was "rigged."

"As far as the trial goes, it was very unfair," he said.

Trump said his team would appeal on several counts, including allegations that the court blocked the most important witness on his behalf.

Both Trump supporters and critics were seen outside the Trump Tower building on Friday.

A sentencing hearing for the secret money trial is scheduled for July 11, shortly before the Republican National Convention.

The first debate between Trump and US President Joe Biden is expected to take place on June 27 in Atlanta, Georgia.
