Jammu, A former police officer has been arrested under the Official Secrets Act for publishing 'sensitive information' in his recently released book. Officials gave this information on Saturday.
Retired Superintendent of Police Mohammad Aslam Shaikh was arrested from his residence in Gandhi Nagar area of Jammu city late on Friday night, the official said.
He said Shaikh had joined the police as an assistant sub-inspector in 1986 and retired last year.
Authorities said he had published a book that contained copies of first information reports and other sensitive information in violation of the Official Secrets Act.
