Ghaziabad (UP), Former Hindu Yuva Vahini district president Jitendra Kuma Tyagi on Sunday said he has sought permission for euthanasia along with his family, and alleged that he was being tortured by the police.
Talking to reporters here, he said that he has sought permission for euthanasia in a letter addressed to President Draupadi Murmu. In the letter, he alleged that the police is harassing him, registering fake criminal cases against him and harassing him under pressure from a political family.
In 2022, Jitendra was booked in the murder case of Naresh Tyagi, who was the maternal uncle of BJP MLA Ajit Tyagi and brother-in-law of former minister Rajpal Tyagi.
When contacted, Ghaziabad Police Commissioner Ajay Kumar Mishra declined to comment on the issue.
