Head coach Langam Chaoba Devi on Monday announced the probable list of 30 players who will join the national team camp to be held in Hyderabad from May 16.

The two-week training camp will be held at the Deccan Arena of Srinidhi Deccan FC in Hyderabad. The team will leave for Uzbekistan on 29 May.

India were last in action during the Turkish Women's Cup in February, where Kosovo finished runners-up in Alanya.

India last faced Uzbekistan in the AFC Women's Olympic Qualifiers Round 2 in November 2023, also held in Tashkent. On that occasion the host team won 3-0. India is currently ranked 66th in the FIFA world rankings, while Uzbekistan is ranked 48th.

AIFF Acting General Secretary M. Satyanarayana said, “This is the second international tour during the FIFA match window for the senior women's team this year after finishing runners-up in Turkey. They will face Uzbekistan, who are ranked much higher than them, and these two matches will be a good learning opportunity for the Blue Tigresses.”
