Mumbai: Mumbai Police on Wednesday recorded the statements of Bollywood star Salman Khan and his actor brother Arbaaz Khan in connection with the firing incident outside the family residence here in April, an official said.

A four-member crime branch team visited Galaxy Apartment in Bandra, where the family lives, he said.

The officer said Salman's statement was recorded for about four hours, while his brother's statement was recorded for more than two hours.

On the morning of 14 April, two motorcycle-riding men fired several rounds outside the actor's residence.

The alleged shooters Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal were arrested from Gujarat and the police claimed that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang was behind the incident.

A total of six people were arrested in the case. One of them, Anuj Thapan, allegedly hanged himself in the police lock-up on May 1.

In a separate case, Navi Mumbai Police had earlier this month arrested five people, including an alleged member of Haryana's Bishnoi and Goldier Brar gangs, in connection with a plot to attack Salman Khan.

Police had said that four members of the gang had conducted recce of Khan's farmhouse in Panvel, the area around his house in Bandra and places where he had gone for film shooting.

Lawrence Bishnoi is currently lodged in Sabarmati Central Jail in Ahmedabad, Gujarat in a separate case.
