Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], Mumbai Police on Saturday invoked Maharashtra Organized Crime Control Act (MCOCA) against all the accused arrested in connection with the firing incident outside superstar Salman Khan's Bandra residence. Mumbai Crime Branch officials said police have identified Lawrence Bishnoi as the gang leader and have added sections of MCOCA in the FIR. "All the accused have been booked under sections 3(1)(2), 3(1)(3), and 3(1)(4) of MCOCA," he said. Mumbai Crime Police has arrested both the shooters, who have been identified as Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta. Police also arrested two arms suppliers on Friday, identified as Sonu Subhash Chander and Anu Thapan.Meanwhile, a lookout notice has been issued against Anmol Bishnoi, younger brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, in connection with the case. On April 14, two men came on a motorcycle, fired four rounds outside Galax Apartments, where the actor lives, around 5 am and fled. Earlier, Mumbai Police had registered a case against four people, naming Bishnoi brothers as the main accused in the FIRIN case. Sections under IPC 506(2) (threatening), 115 (incitement), and 201 (tampering with evidence) have been added in the case. Mumbai Crime Branch officials said gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother Anmol Bishnoi are wanted accused. In connection with the case, Anmol Bishnoi claimed responsibility for the firing outside Salman's residence in a Facebook post. After the attack, accused Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal were questioned by National Investigation Agency officials.

Authorities had earlier said they had recovered a pistol from the river on April 22 and also found footprints of Vic Gupta, one of the arrested shooters, while he was fleeing from Mumbai towards Bhuj in Gujarat. The crime branch said the shooters, while fleeing, threw the gun into the Tapi river near Sura. Police said they were searching for more mobile handsets which he may have thrown into the river, adding that he had delivered money to the bank several times.The involvement of the Bishnoi brothers was confirmed by statements made on social media, where Anmol Bishnoi reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack in a Facebook post.
