Kolkata: A fire broke out in Mehta Building in Barabazar, the business hub of central Kolkata, on Tuesday evening. Police gave this information.
Police said ten fire tenders were deployed to extinguish the fire that broke out at around 4.20 pm.
He said no one was injured in the fire.
A few years ago, there was a massive fire in the building and many shops and goods worth lakhs of rupees were burnt to ashes.
This is the fourth incident of fire in the city within a fortnight.
