New Delhi: A fire broke out inside the Income Tax CR building in the ITO area on Tuesday, Delhi Fire Service officials said. There is no information about any casualty.
The fire broke out in the building opposite the old police headquarters, which is still occupied by some units of the force.
Officials said, "We received information about the fire in the Income Tax CR building at 3.07 pm. We have sent a total of 21 fire tenders. We have also informed the local police about the matter for further investigation and to maintain law and order " DFS said.
According to some videos that surfaced on social media, occupants of the building took shelter on window ledges to escape the fire.
