Noida: A fire broke out due to an air conditioner explosion inside a flat in a posh upscale society in Noida on Thursday morning, officials said.

He said that there were no casualties in the incident which took place in Lotus Bulavar Society in Sector 100.

Chief fire officer Pradeep Kumar Choubey said that local people and residents of the society informed the fire service unit about the incident at 10.10 am in the flat on the 10th floor of the building.

He said, "We immediately sent five vehicles (water tenders) to the spot. But before your vehicles could reach there, the firefighting system installed in the society brought the fire under control within 10 minutes."

"The fire was caused by an explosion in the AC (air conditioner). Since the fire fighting systems like sprinklers, sprinklers, hoses were working properly, the fire did not spread much and was contained to one room (of the flat)," Chaubey said. He said that no one died or was injured in this incident.

In the video on social media, heavy smoke is seen coming out from the apartment of a residential tower of the society.

"AC blast" generally refers to an explosion or fire involving an air conditioning (AC) unit. According to officials, such incidents could be caused by a variety of factors, often related to electrical or mechanical failures.
