New Delhi [India]: A fire broke out at a shop in Block C Market in Vasant Vihar area of ​​National Capital Territory of Delhi on Saturday.

Visuals from the site showed a huge cloud of black smoke billowing out.

On receiving the information, fire department officials quickly reached the spot with several fire engines to control the fire.

The fire was brought under control with the prompt response of the fire department. Fire Director Atul Garg said that there was no report of any casualty or injury and the cause of the fire was not yet known.

Earlier on Thursday, a massive fire broke out in Marwari Katra market of Chandni Chowk in the national capital, following which the fire department responded quickly.

According to Delhi Police, around 110-120 shops were destroyed in Chandni Chowk's New Road market due to the fire.

Nearby shops were evacuated and necessary assistance was provided to the fire department to extinguish the fire.

A fireman suffered superficial burns during a firefighting operation.

The cause of the fire has not been known yet.
