Thane, A case has been registered against an auto-rickshaw driver for allegedly harassing a 39-year-old woman traveling in his vehicle in Maharashtra's Thane district, police said on Sunday.
The woman took an auto-rickshaw from Kalyan railway station on June 13 to go to her home in Valdhuni.
While she was paying the fare, the driver allegedly held her hand and abused and threatened her, an official from the MFC police station said.
He said that the woman later lodged a complaint, on the basis of which an FIR was registered against the auto-rickshaw driver on Friday under relevant provisions.
