New Delhi [India], As part of pre-budget consultations, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is scheduled to meet representatives of industry associations on the evening of June 20.

Industry associations like Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry will attend the meeting to be held between 4 to 6 pm in North Block. India (ASSOCHAM), and PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry are presenting their budget suggestions and recommendations.

The meeting is part of the government's annual pre-budget consultation aimed at gathering feedback and suggestions from key stakeholders to shape the upcoming Union Budget.

The budget is expected to be presented in Parliament in the third week of July.

Industry organizations will meet Revenue Secretary Sanjay Malhotra on June 18 before the meeting with the Finance Minister.

The discussions are expected to cover a wide range of topics including tax reforms, incentives for various industries, measures to boost economic growth and policies to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

This will be the first budget of the Modi government after assuming power for the third consecutive time.

Nirmala Sitharaman presented the interim budget on 1 February before the Lok Sabha elections. She has presented six consecutive budgets so far and will create a record when she presents the full budget for the new term of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance government.
