Kasaragod (Kerala), A 54-year-old man and his two sons died on Tuesday in a collision between an ambulance and their car at Kunchathur near Manjeshwaram in North Kerala district.
According to the police, the deceased have been identified as P Shivakumar and his sons Sarath (23), Sourav (15) of Thrissur district.
The accident occurred around 11 am, resulting in the car being badly damaged, with rescuers having to dismantle the car to rescue the victims.
Apart from the deaths, three people traveling in the ambulance – Usha and Shivdas – and its driver were injured in the accident.
Police said he has been taken to a hospital in Mangaluru for treatment.
The collision occurred when Usha, who was injured in a car accident in Chatanchal the previous day, was being transferred from a hospital in Kasaragod to a specialist facility in Mangaluru.
