Chandigarh, Samyukt Kisan Morcha leader Harinder Singh Lakhowal on Tuesday said that villagers will be mobilized in Punjab to protest against the BJP candidates coming to campaign for the Lok Sabha elections.

Lakhowal said, farmers will continue to ask questions to BJP leaders and show black flags to them if their demands are not accepted.

BJP candidates and leaders have faced opposition from farmers at many places during their election campaign.

Its Faridkot candidate Hans Raj Hans, Amritsar candidate Taranjit Singh Sandhu, Gurdaspur candidate Dinesh Babbu and Patiala candidate Preneet Kaur have to face opposition from farmers.

Farmers under the banner of the Samyukta Kisan Morcha have said they will oppose the BJP and ask people to "punish" the saffron party in the elections.Lakhowal told journalists in Chandigarh that one lakh posters of the questionnaire would be put up in the villages of Punjab.

The Samyukt Kisan Morcha, which led the farmers' agitation in 2020-21 against the now-repealed farm laws, has already prepared an 11-point questionnaire for farmers to ask questions to BJP leaders.

The questionnaire includes questions such as why the farmers were not allowed to march in Delhi and why "force" was used against them.

Lakhowal further said that people will be mobilized in the villages so that they can ask questions to the BJP leaders when they come for campaigning.

He further said, "We want people to protest peacefully against BJP leaders."

Another farmer leader Balbir Singh Rajewal said that they will not allow confrontation during the protest.Farmers owing allegiance to various organizations are protesting against the BJP-led Center for not accepting their demands, including a law on minimum support price for crops.

They have also attacked the Center for not allowing the farmers to march to Delhi, forcing them to camp at the Shambhu and Khanauri border points between Punjab and Haryana.

Samyukt Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha led the 'Delhi Chalo' march by farmers to put pressure on the government to accept their demands, including legal guarantee on minimum support price for crops.

The protesting farmers have been camping at the Shambhu and Khanauri border points between Punjab and Haryana since February 13, when security forces stopped their march.Voting for 13 Lok Sabha seats of Punjab will be held on June 1.
