Private schools received threat at 2.49 am on Monday. The search started at 6 am and continued till late night.

After an extensive search, the threat turned out to be a hoax as nothing suspicious was found in any of the schools.

The bomb threat was sent through a Russia domain from a mail ID '[email protected]'.

Police are investigating the matter and analyzing the language of the email. The wording of the recent emails sent to Delhi schools and airports are also being studied.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that Russian servers have been used to send threatening mail to schools in Jaipur and Delhi. An email was sent to Delhi schools from the ID '[email protected]' and to Jaipur schools from the ID '[email protected]'.

Meanwhile, cyber experts said criminals are usually using VPNs from other countries to hide their location. For example, in both the Jaipur and Delhi cases, it is being said that the emails were sent from Russian servers."It's possible that the emails may have been sent from some other location, but the location I showed is Russia."

Cyber security expert Mukesh Chaudhary said that by hiding the location through VPN, such accused are successful in escaping from the police.

He said, "Anyone can change their location through VPN. In such a situation, the email recipient thinks that the email sender is in the same country from where he has received the mail, however, the case is different."

Meanwhile, officials did not rule out the strong possibility that some organization or gang could be behind the incidents in Delhi and Jaipur.

Jaipur Police Commissioner Biju George said a similar pattern of mail has been used in schools in Delhi and Jaipur. There is no dateline mentioned and I use the term BCC which means one mail is being sent to many others. Therefore one should not be afraid of such emails.

Cyber security and law expert Monali Krishna Guha said that vicious criminals usually use darknet or proxy servers while sending such emails, due to which the police investigation takes a long time to reach any conclusion.

Rajendra Prasad, former in-charge of Cyber Crime Police Station, says that when VPN is being used, the police should take help from CBI and Interpol.

There has been talk of revenge in the email sent to schools. Referring to Gujarat, there was a threat to turn cities into ruins.

It is important to mention here that miscreants have threatened to bomb Jaipu airport six times in the last six months. Such bomb threats were made twice in May, on 3 May and again on 12 May. However, no suspicious object was found during the search operation.

Even in April, Jaipur Airport had received bomb threats on 16 February, 26 April, 29 April and 27 December last year.
