Barcelona, Indian racer driver Kush Maini enjoyed a good weekend at the F2 Spanish Grand Prix as he finished second in the sprint race.

Manny, who drives for Invicta Racing, spun his wheel early when BWT Alpine's Victor Martins pitted at the first corner.

Ritomo Miyata spun on the outside at Turn 1 and moved from fourth to second ahead of Juan Manuel Correa and Manny, moving the Indian from first to fourth.

On lap 2, Manny, along with teammate Gabriel Bortoletto, made a late move to steal a position from Correa and then finished fourth.

By lap 10, Martins managed to avoid the Miata's DRS range and remained ahead by 1.5 seconds, while the Japanese driver maintained a 1.1-second lead over Maini in the podium places.

With 10 laps left in the session, it looked like the track's limitations were becoming a problem for the Miata; Drivers were fined five seconds for more than one violation.

In his struggle to stay ahead of Maini he earned a second penalty and brought the overall score to 10 seconds with five laps remaining.

Heading into the final round, Martins finished on top of the podium, with Maini in second and Corea Miyata in third with a time penalty.

The Indian finished sixth in the main race.
