Multi-layered security arrangements have been made in the twin border districts of Jammu, Rajouri and Poonch, especially near the Line of Control (LoC), part of Anantnag Lok Sabha constituency, where polling is scheduled on May 25.

Officials said on Thursday that these measures include increased deployment of security personnel, control in hilly areas, additional posts and round-the-clock surveillance at areas and critical installations.

He said that several additional companies of security personnel have been deployed, strengthening the security arrangements managed by the Army, Police, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Border Security Force (BSF).
